Let's look at the two groups of people.
GIVERS and TAKERS
Givers are obviously people who are generous (either physically or emotionally)
Takers are people who stand by and accept stuff readily yeah?
However, if people spend their entire lives giving and giving, eventually people will assume they do not need anything in return, and do not earn at all. Being happy by giving and not receiving anything, does not last, no matter how sincere someone is at giving.
So, if a friend you know well, as a giver, feels lousy cause he/she feels that they dont get the proper recognition for thier deeds, never EVER question thier sincerity.
p.s - mostly its emotional needs. If I give you money I don't expect to be given money back.
